Approach and Philosophy
Dr. Philippi is a board certified psychiatrist practicing in Dallas, Texas.  Whether prescribing medication or doing therapy, her goal is to promote self-reflection, clarity and growth.  
 
 She is known for her authentic style that puts others at ease in a judgment-free zone.  This allows clients to be free to bring their full, unfiltered selves to the therapeutic process.  In this context, she brings her expertise with medication and therapy to help them know and understand themselves in deeper and complex ways so they may heal and cultivate the life and relationships they desire.
Education and Background
Following graduation from Belmont University, she taught high school math and science, received her MD from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine,  and underwent residency training at UT Southwestern Medical Center.  
 
She served as a staff psychiatrist at Southern Methodist University Health Center where she treated students for depression, anxiety, and ADD/ADHD as well as issues with adjusting to college life, separating from family, and launching into careers and adult relationships.  
 
Since 2009, she has been in private practice in Dallas where she prescribes medication, conducts therapy, and leads seminars on issues related to adolescence, parenting, and transitions.  For more details on her educational background and experience, click here.
